Game Lean Manufacturing in practice (english version)

The manufacturing process simulation is based on a game designed for a group of up to 18 participants. The participants act out the manufacturing process over repeated rounds, during which orders are placed for 4 different products. The game consists of 6 rounds. After each round a group discussion on changes takes place. Additionally, group members analyze the costs of the current manufacture. The following functions are represented in the game: director, production manager, production planner.

The objective of this game is to help understand the concept of an enterprise run according to Lean Manufacturing principles. The game demonstrates in a hands-on way how the system functions on the basis of changes introduced by a team of employees. It shows how to deal with problem solving within a group and how to manage the change process leading to lean manufacturing.

• how to organize a workplace in accordance with 5S rules,
• how to shift from batch production to one-piece flow with the aid of Kanban, and consequently reduce inventory,
• how to eliminate waste areas, that is, places that increase costs (transport, information flow, work ergonomics, waiting, inventory, quality, operation layout),
• how the Kaizen philosophy works in practice,
• the logical course of implementing Lean Manufacturing principles within a company.

Description of materials

• All materials are in English.
• Presentations are prepared in MS Project, while supporting materials in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Presentations are written in a user-friendly language
• Materials are prepared by experienced experts-practitioners, who also work as facilitators/trainers.
• All game components  are supplied in a plastic box.
• The simulation game is sent by the Polish Post, immediately after confirmation of payment receipt.
